Our Mission
It all began 20 years ago with a simple yet profound act of love. Our founder Mark, motivated by an ambition to gift his wife a symbol of their enduring affection and shared love for the outdoors, handcrafted the first Potenza hammock stand. That stand, born out of love and artisanship, still remains a cherished piece in their backyard today - a little worn, slightly renovated, but teeming with sentimental value.
This humble gift didn't just spark joy within their household; it ignited a flame of inspiration that led to the birth of Potenza Hammocks, a company that would go on to become the largest hammock stand manufacturer in Europe.
We have never strayed from our core values: creating family-friendly hammocks that inspire togetherness, relaxation, and an appreciation of the natural world. We believe in the strength of the family bond, and we strive to encapsulate this ethos in every hammock set we create.
From the beginning, we recognised the value of marrying our exceptional stand designs with the world-class expertise of hammock artisans. This belief led us to form partnerships with master hammock weavers globally, particularly those in Colombia. Known for their deep-rooted hammock culture and meticulous craftsmanship, these artists create hammocks that are perfectly tailored to our stands, ensuring a seamless blend of comfort, durability, and aesthetics.
Over the past two decades, our passion and commitment have allowed us to reach milestones we could only dream of when that first stand was lovingly constructed. We have proudly delivered over 80,000 hammock sets to families across 15 different countries, each one designed to transform outdoor spaces into havens of tranquility and connection.
